People reports that 30-year-old Jamie Snider of Fresno, California, had been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive variety of cervical cancer prior to her first pregnancy. She'd had an ovary removed, but learned the cancer returned during her second pregnancy.
Snider was then treated at Stanford Medical Center, where she underwent chemotherapy (and other intensive procedures) throughout the duration of her pregnancy, and beat the disease again. She was scheduled for C-section.
