Ivanka Trump has stirred up criticism recently after announcing she would (1) take an office in the West Wing and (2) become a legit federal employee. It's been called nepotism, yes. But the move has also earned her a new label: "liar."
On Thursday's edition of the Daily Show, host Trevor Noah played a clip of the first daughter on 60 Minutes the week after the election.
"People think that you're gonna be part of the administration, Ivanka," said correspondent Lesley Stahl.
"I'm — no. I'm going to be a daughter," Trump said, smiling.
The clip ended, cutting to Noah, who got into character as Ivanka with a high-pitched voice: "And a liar!"
"Look," he said, returning to his normal baritone. "We all knew that Donald couldn't stand to be apart from Ivanka, you know? And in his four-year term, he was eventually gonna find some way to bring her in."
"But two months in?" he continued. "This guy has the patience of a toddler."
